I've decided that with I won't ever have more TIME for workouts so I need to amp up the intensity. Although I loathe running with every fiber of my being, I'm determined to move from my walking workouts (fast paced--4mph) to running using one of the couch-to-5K plans. So after I was given the go-ahead to work out, I started doing some light cardio and weights at the Y. Even though I was going to the gym regularly, I wasn't seeing the results I wanted. So I started doing some research about what kind of workout classes the Y had to offer, I figured I could acheive better results if I was actually working with an instructor that knew a thing or two about getting in shape. I stumbled acrossed Body Pump and gave it a shot. I've been doing the class 2-3 times a week for over a year and a half and have never been in better shape! I, too, have made some class friends and have even got my sister addicted to the class. Doing classes/group exercises are so good for everyone's morale.
