My Christmas Wish

Well we have only 4 more days till Christmas and boy is E is excited. I have to admit that I'm truly loving the "Santa is watching you" idea for keeping him in line and will miss it terribly when Christmas is over.

His Christmas wish is pretty cut and dry ... a talking Buzz Lightyear.

He's been asking for it since September, so we believe it's a big deal. Yesterday out of the blue he asked me what I wanted for Christmas and believe me when I tell you I thought long and hard about it.

See this year has been pretty crazy for us. I pretty much gave birth (3 weeks early) and attended my dad's funeral all in the time span of three weeks. Just thinking about it puts a huge weight on my chest. Dad had been sick for a while, but it doesn't make it any easier.

So, since Dad is gone and all our other family lives in either Chicago or Michigan, I told E that my Christmas wish this year is I want some family to FINALLY be living closer.

So with that said, Santa better get to work because this time next year I expect my mom and stepdad to be living somewhere nearby...do you hear me santa, do you hear me?
