A {Love Sick} Virtual Coffee

I'm sick again.

Boo. Hiss. 

I feel like every time we have coffee I'm stuffed up or coughing or some other disgusting thing that makes you wipe your brow and say "Whew" I'm glad this is virtual coffee. 

Luckily enough I was able to get an early doctor appointment and after checking the nose, ears and mouth it turns out I have an acute sinus infection. Joy...my only consolation for going to the doctor was this...

My favorite coffee shop actually has a location right inside the hospital. Ah...nice.

Anyway, it's Valentines Day. The day where all the florists, candy and card stores make a mint on our ability to get suckered by a holiday. {can you tell I'm not buying it} I'm a marketer. I make up these holidays so businesses can make money...it's all smoke and mirrors people. Plus I'm old school and believe we should show people you love them EVERY day not just when a card store or florist tells you too.

How about you? Are you into the whole Valentine thing or are you over it? The hubs says it depends on how long you are married, and perhaps he's onto something. Since it was me and twenty old guys hanging at the drugstore today looking at cards. Keep in mind I probably wouldn't have even gotten him a card had I not been waiting on my script for my full blown, mucus inducing sinus infection. 

And of course since I have little ones in the house I felt the need to spread some love and make some Valentines. After getting sucked into the vortex of Pinterest and all it's glorious Valentines Day ideas, E finally picked this one...

It was relatively easy {since I'm more craptastic than craftastic}. Unfortunately, due to my plague I was quarantined to the confines of home sweet home and not allowed to distribute said Valentines. {insert sad face} But that's ok, because this feverish mama needs to rest up, so she can face the rest of the week.

If we were really meeting for coffee, I'd fill you in on Saturday's date night. Yes, we did go. Yes, we did see the most depressing, and violent movie {The Grey}. Yes, I ate a big greasy hamburger and drank a large drink with the word zombie in it. So all in all a great evening.

Although, I think the boys had more fun with Mimi and Papa. They were spoiled, and played with and Mimi made their favorite {mac and cheese with fish sticks}. They were in Heaven. And so were Mimi and Papa. That's what moving closer to family is all about.

Well, I'm gonna pull the shade and settle in for a nap and try to sleep off this sickness, so that maybe just maybe the next time we meet the word mucus won't be in our conversation.
