Holiday Hoopla

I'm BAAAACK!

You missed me right? What you didn't even know I was gone? 

Well, I will forgive you, because if your holiday was as chaotic as ours you were probably lucky to keep track of your own family let alone keep track of someone else's. 

I know I'm behind in posting holiday photos, but I vowed to take the week off, and not post till the New Year.

Plus really our Christmas celebration didn't end till today with the cumulation of a holiday dinner and gift giving at my mom's new abode. 

But I'm getting ahead of myself ... Let's start at the beginning. 

Christmas Eve was spent with my mom baking and spending quality time with the family.

E gave me his heart for Christmas...Awwww...

Ready for the oven.

I was dying to eat this last spoonful of dough. Then mom reminded me of raw eggs and I reluctantly put the spoon down and walked away.
Santa loved the fruits of our labor. And did you know chocolate chip is his favorite.

Christmas morning was a blur...LITERALLY.
I could barely get a decent photo of the boys opening gifts, because they were all over the place.




E was so excited that Santa brought the Bob the Builder toys he asked for. We were blessed to hear the Bob the Builder song twenty million times on Christmas Day...Yea us!


After a whirlwind opening of Santa gifts we loaded the troops in the car and headed to Chi-town. Since we were the only people who were crazy enough to attempt a four hour drive on Christmas Day traffic was non-existent and the drive went quickly. Although, not without it's drama. We were only 10 minutes from our destination when E started complaining of a tummy ache and ended up getting sick in the car. Luckily we had barf bag from G's surgery in the glove box. Once we were granted permission into the house, E appeared fun and ran around like a crazy person with his cousins. We enjoyed dinner and gift giving with family, whom we haven't seen since July. A joyous occasion for all.



When we returned home we were surprised to find more gifts from Santa.



We spent the week playing with our new toys and enjoying our time together.

And today we rounded out our Holiday Hoopla with a Christmas celebration at my mom's.





Anyone that's been in Michigan needs to stop by Frankenmuth and have some chicken.
You will wish you would have some of this in your cupboard.

Each year it was a tradition to give a gift from the Dirty Little Elf.
This year the Clumsy Elf made an appearance.

I think little brother wants a headlamp too.



We bought the parents a custom painting of their old house from Farmgirl Paints. They loved it!

The night ended with a fun game of Scattergories.

A Magical Holiday was had by all!
