Eleven, Eleven, Eleven: Meet Me In St. Louis

I'm heading to St. Louis on Friday for Bloggy Bootcamp and I'm so excited {I think I've Tweeted, Facebooked and Blogged that a gazillion times, but it's so true}. Since I'm going to be meeting so many wonderful bloggers I thought this would be a great way for them to get to know a little about me. Oh, and for those of you that THINK you know me...these answers might surprise you.

Before I get started I'd like to thank the lovely Sarah over at This Heavenly Life for tagging me for this fun meme. Now let's get started.

First off the Rules:
1. Post the rules.
2. Post a photo of yourself along with 11 random facts.
3. Answer the questions given to you in the tagger's post.
4. Create 11 new questions and tag new people to answer them.
5. Visit the people you tagged to let them know.

The Randoms
1. I'm not a redhead and no one in my immediately family was a redhead, which means we have no idea where G came from.

2. Sometimes I don't feel like I gave birth to my boys, like they are someone else's kids and I'm just along for the ride.

3. I talk to myself ALL the time, and if someone catches me I just pretend I'm singing.

4. There are days when I don't clean the kitchen and I just leave all the dishes sitting there because I'm too lazy to deal with them.

5. When I leave for the gym early in the morning I get in the car, lock all the doors then open the garage door just in case there are zombies outside. {I watch WAY too much Walking Dead}.

6. I honestly believe that toys come to life after we leave the room just like in Toy Story. I also believe the cats know this and are in on the joke.

7. I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY want to a playdate with Tina Fey. I think it would be a blast.

8. I met my husband online through a personal ad on Yahoo! Personals. You can read our story here.

9. My trip to St. Louis is my first solo trip where I'm not meeting anyone I know. So please come talk to me, I'll be the quiet redhead in the corner.

10. I don't wear makeup and I don't put any product in my hair. YUCK!

11. I'm an only child and I lived with my dad from the time I was three. I feel this experience made me a stronger more independent person.

Sarah's Questions
1. Do you always read the entire book once you get started, or have you ever stopped halfway through a book?  If so, what was it, and why? I REALLY try to finish any book I pick up, but there was one that I said "To heck with it." To be honest I can't remember the book title, but it had something to do with a Shakespeare masterpiece and a mysterious transcript. It was VERY slow.

2. Which would you prefer to spend an afternoon doing: painting with a room full of preschoolers or painting with a group of adults? Adults for sure. I never get to do anything like that.

3. Is there a television show on right now that you try to never miss?  What is it? GLEE. I love it! I get up and sing and dance. B2 hates it, so I have to watch it when he's not there.

4.  What is the most adventurous food item you've ever tried? Some sort of fish eggs on sushi. I couldn't really tell if they had any flavor, but they did pop when I bit into them.

5.  If you could have as many children as you wanted without fear of discomfort (either physical or financial) or social judgement, how many do you think you'd have? The two I have are just fine. I think if I could mentally handle it I'd try for a girl, but I'd probably end up with another boy, so it's not worth the risk.

6.  What foreign culture fascinates you the most? Indian. I'm not sure why.

7.  When you're grocery shopping, what snack item has the greatest ability to tempt you into an unnecessary purchase? ICE CREAM...Specifically Whitey's ice cream.

8.  When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?  Did you succeed? I wanted to be a fashion designer. And since I can only draw stick figures that dream died a while ago.

9.  If you could go back to school and get any degree, would you choose differently than you did the first time? First of all I wouldn't have a major my first year in college, I'd just do all my General Ed classes and see what I liked. Then I would probably have had to switch schools and go to Iowa State {ugh, devil school} because they have an actual advertising major and that's what I should have majored in instead of being Pre Med.

10.  You have a $500 gift card to the closest mall: what will you spend it on? I would probably divide it up a bit and buy myself some new clothes and shoes, but then I'd get the kids and B2 some things they wanted.

11.  You are headed into a party full of people you've never met before and where mingling is expected.  What one word describes your mindset as you open the door? Well this will be happening when I get to St. Louis this weekend. Butterflies.

My Questions

1. If you could be rich or famous, which would you choose and why?

2. What was your favorite book as a child?

3. If you could have any super power what would it be?

4. What's your greatest fear?

5. What is your favorite blog post? Post a link and tell me why?

6. Have you ever gone on vacation alone? If you did where did you go?

7. What is your favorite season and why?

8. Hunger Games or Twilight?

9. Do you have a favorite baby name that you either used, plan to use or didn't get to use?

10. When was the last time you cried and why?

11. What did you dream about last night?

Love it! And I'm with you on the Toy Story stuff! I do the same exact thing, and even occasionally wonder if there are any romances blossoming among the toy bins. :)
