Just Virtual Coffee

Happy late afternoon everyone!


So, if we were really meeting for coffee today, I'd ask you lend me an ear because I'm gonna complain vent a little bit. I'm having a small issue with a friendship not sure what to call it. See, I thought we were friends, but...obviously after what this person did...I'm thinking friendship is not a word I would associate with her anymore. In essence my feelings are hurt, she doesn't realize that I know what she did and now I can't trust her...so now I just stew in my own juices and try not to disclose too much. It's weird and I don't like it. Who would have thought I would have to deal with this type of crap at my age. Jeez...this is something reminiscent of High School (and I HATED High School).


Anyway, let's talk about something more enjoyable, like the weather. Oh wait that sucks too...way too hot...I'm ready for Fall.


Oh, how about this...


Yep that's B2 on a ladder risking his life so we can tell our cable company to go to H-E-L-L. We are going old school and just using an antenna to get local stations and then using our Apple TV and Netflix for everything else. Sounds like a perfect and less expensive option...less dangerous not so much.


We did have a great time at the Kernels Stadium to celebrate a friend's birthday. It was the first time I'd been there since they remodeled the stadium. E particularly liked the batting cage, and the ice cream cake.












Well, not much else. Spent part of my work day at the JoCo Fair today.








It was a tad bit on the toasty side, but overall not too bad in the shade with fan blowing directly on me. Do you go to your county fair? That's the first time I had been to ours. Depending on E's mood tonight we might head out there again.


Well, thanks for coffee. And sorry I didn't let you talk much. I'm in a bit of a hurry...gotta get the kids and make dinner. But I'll make a quick stop at Amy's before I sign off.

the heat...ughhhhh! i mean i get it that it is summer and it should be hot but wow, let's at least get down into the 80's, that would be really nice! sorry about the friendship problems, i have no advice...i just really hate situations like that. thanks for coffee!

From what all I've been hearing about the heat you guys are suffering, I'm beginning to think I should be grateful for cool (in comparison) Thailand! :)

Sorry to hear about your friendship. Maybe it's something you should talk to her about? If she really wronged you, it might be worthwhile to let her know. It might not mend the friendship, but it might help you let go of some of the anger or at least find some understanding? Or at least, maybe make her think more carefully about how she treats others? Eternal optimist I am. I do hope you find some resolution for this.

So sorry to hear about the "friendship" thing. Not fun to deal with that stuff. Hope you have someone you can talk to about it and get the support you need-- or maybe just the vent on the blog will do the trick. We have Apple TV and we love it. Looks like fun at the stadium and the fair. Our local country fair is in September, and I always love to go with the kids. But there are others during the summer in different parts of the state. The big Fireman's Carnival is happening next weekend-- big deal for the kids, less fun for us. I try to go when the crowds/lines aren't too crazy. Beautiful sunset photo! We have our county fair next week and I can't wait!! But the heat has been pretty bad. It's finally cooling down in the mornings but it still gets hot in the day and into the night. It was in the 100s for a few days last week, and that's extremely HOT for little Cleveland, OH....so I feel ya on the heat!

Sorry about the friendship troubles. Unfortunately, there are some people who don't outgrow the high school stage, and I had to witness a friend deal with that drama last night and it wasn't pretty. You could approach them about it and risk losing all of the "friendship", or you could let it go...but it sounds like it's a big thing. I hope you can sort it out soon!

I love going to county fairs.. I have only been to ours a couple of times.. Its a long drive.. Yep I hear you about the heat.. I am so ready for it to be over.

That sucks to have friend drama.. When it does happen I am the type to just not talk about it and hope it goes away.. I don't think that is the correct way to handle things. But I am so bad with confrontation. I do hope everything works out the way you want.. Thanks so much for stopping by my blog..
